MOVING
Corporate
Corporate relocations require special hands on involvement. CPMC offers the following suggestions to assist you in planning an efficient move and to eliminate unnecessary expenses. Experience has taught us that through planning, preparation and co-operation between CPMC and your company will remove confusion, minimize down time and will save money. Implementing a system for Tagging & Marking.
The strategy is to prepare the move to flow in a logical matter. Every item to be moved out must be identified and labeled so that we may place it in its exact destination location. A tag also instructs how to handle that item, for example:
 |
Location (where the item is going) |
 |
Liquidation (directive to the mover) |
 |
Do Not Move (directive to the mover) |
 |
Contents (directive to the unpacker) |
Number will identify placement of furniture and equipment at your new facility, not by name. To identify placement location, placards with the proper room numbers must be affixed to the entrance of each individual area and/or room at your new facility.
Use office tags: Everything must be tagged! For example; when a desk has a removable parts, all the pieces are tagged. Each piece of computer equipment is tagged (i.e. monitor, CPU, keyboard and cable bundle). Everything must be tagged no matter how seemingly inconsequential (i.e. floor mats, white boards, trash cans, etc...). Items without a tag will not be moved. This great level of detail means less supervision will be required at your new facility. Proper tagging will be a key factor in achieving an organized and smooth-flowing move. It will save your company time and money.
Computer Equipment & Desk Top Machinery: Computer equipments must be disconnected. Drives should be backed up prior to the move. Service, warranty or leasing agents must be notified that you intend to move the equipment. Typewriters and other large desktop business machines should be properly tagged, disconnected and left on their respective desktops. We will wrap each machine and pack them into their original cartons (if available) or appropriate containers.
Packing & Marking Cartons: We will supply cartons, which are extremely strong. If you decide to utilize other cartons, make sure they are thoroughly taped closed. Cartons are stacked when moved; therefore, please don't over pack them. Flat tops on cartons will speed the move. Tag boxes on both ends. Do not tag cartons on top!
Desks & Storage Cabinets: Desks and storage cabinets are moved on end. Unless the contents of these items are completely emptied and packed into cartons the contents will fall out and be lost.
Photocopy Machines: Photocopy machines need to be serviced by the manufacturer or service contract agent before being moved. Failure to do so may void your machine's service contract or warranty. Generally, after they've been serviced, these machines are blanket wrapped and moved.
Delicate Materials: Mark it FRAGILE! To assure special handling be sure to advise the Job Manager of its sensitive nature. Proper labeling and communication is essential for moving these items safely.
Post Move-Out Cleanup: We will make arrangements to have the origin facility cleaned once the move out has been completed. You will be surprised at the large amount of waste, which will be uncovered once everything has been removed from the old facility.
Residential
We engage ourselves in residential relocation locally, nationally and internationally. Here are some general guidelines that you may follow while moving out.
 |
Keep your telephones functioning all through the planned loading day. Likewise, try to have your new telephone installed and functioning for move-in-day at your new (destination) residence. You or the movers may need to communicate with the outside world. |
 |
All personal items of high values such as jewellery, coins, prescriptions, etc. are best carried with you when traveling to your new residence. |
 |
Remember to note missing or damaged items on the Household Goods Descriptive Inventory Form upon delivery. Failure to do so could result in denial of your claim! |
 |
Remember that when filing a claim for missing or damaged items, you will be required to substantiate any loss with a proof of value and ownership. This can be accomplished in the form of cancelled checks, sales receipts, a homeowner's policy or appraisals. |
 |
Never throw out an item that has been damaged! CPMC's appraiser or repair firm may want to inspect it and if you dispose of a damaged item your claim may be denied due to the article not being available for inspection. |
 |
If you cannot be at your residence on the day of packing, loading, unloading or unpacking; you will need to name an agent or representative to act on your behalf and to supervise the movement, as the packers may have questions which will require immediate answers. |
 |
You will be provided with an estimate for the cost of your move. Only the services detailed on this estimate are approved. Any additional service that is required should be approved before it can be performed. |
Animal Relocation
Apart from relocations of household and commercial goods, we also have expertise in the field of animal packing and moving both nationally and internationally. We have taken up several projects on relocating large animals with great care and safety.
We have constructed special containers for transport of large animals like giraffe, hippopotamus, and rhinoceros, elephants which have been sent to Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Lucknow Zoo successfully. An IATA approved elephant transport cage has been constructed by us to facilitate its moving from India to Morocco. Our honorable Prime Minister Mr. A. B. Vajpayee gifted this elephant to the king of Morocco. The elephant was airlifted successfully.
The transport cages constructed by us are made exclusively to move such heavy animals either by road or by air.
